The Role of Ultrasound in the Diagnosis and Management of Giant Cell Arteritis and Takayasu’s Arteritis   

Learning objectives:

  • Review the evidence and role of imaging including ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of giant cell arteritis
  • Understand the anatomy and sonographic findings associated with large vessel vasculitis (GCA, TA)
  • Describe the implementation of a fast-track GCA clinic in improving patient access and expediting clinical diagnoses and care
